Meet Our Team

Diane Blaising, Au.D., FAAA

Board Certified Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Blaising’s advanced training and experience allows her the privilege of doing what she loves most: helping people overcome difficult hearing losses.

Dr. Diane Blaising began her career in audiology in 1992. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, having previously earned her master’s degree in audiology from the Callier Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has years of experience working with hearing-impaired adults and children in otolaryngologists’ offices in Louisville, KY. Moreover, as a pediatric audiologist at the Louisville Deaf Oral School, she served preschool children who were deaf or hard of hearing.

Dr. Blaising is board certified in audiology by the American Board of Audiology. She is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the American Academy of Audiology, and the Texas Academy of Audiology. In addition, Dr. Blaising has twice been given the Ace Award for continuing education.

Choosing a hearing professional is one of the most important decisions someone with a hearing problem can make. Since a hearing aid cannot be prescribed like eyeglasses, proper hearing aid recommendation and fitting highly depends on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument. We test your hearing; select and dispense the hearing instrument best to meet your needs; and provide support, counseling, and service of the hearing system. We are concerned about you and make hearing solution recommendations to fit your lifestyle and personal needs.”

Dr. Blaising and her husband (both fifth generation Texans) are active members of First Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. Her husband serves at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. They have two children. Dr. Blaising and her daughter are both members of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Joyce Parlin

Practice Liaison

As someone who personally knows the power of better hearing, Joyce Parlin loves helping others with their hearing challenges and educating the public about the benefits of treatment.

I have worn hearing aids for more than 25 years. The mix of my own experience and my past work with the senior population has made this position a great fit for me.”

Joyce’s passion for learning and service has always lighted her path. Her experience includes serving as an assistant executive director of Senior Citizen Services of Greater Tarrant County and as a CaptionCall® trainer. She volunteers with the Hearing Loss Association of America’s Fort Worth chapter and currently sits on the board as Program Chair.

Joyce earned a bachelor’s degree in studies in aging at the University of North Texas, where she received an Outstanding Academic Award. She also counts her Cityview Audiology family as an important part of her lifelong education. Says Joyce, “I have learned so much since being a part of this team.”

In addition to helping people along their better-hearing journey, Joyce enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Ken, who is a pastor, and their blended family of six adult children and spouses and 11 grandchildren.

Lisa Bixler, COHC

Licensed Audiologist Assistant

Before coming to work at Cityview Audiology, I never realized how many things in life, like hearing health, that we take for granted. Having watched people of all ages walk into our office, some not even realizing how badly they are struggling to hear their loved ones, and then walk out feeling renewed with a smile on their face, has been a rewarding experience, and opened my eyes to being more proactive and intentional about my own hearing health.”

Lisa and her husband, Chad, love to serve others together, and to travel the world on mission, but their primary mission is, and has always been, Sean, his wife, Meagan, and Cobey

Lisa served as a full-time children’s minister of the First Baptist Church in Rusk, Texas, for 11 years before moving to Fort Worth in August of 2015. She currently serves as a part-time children’s minister at her church in Cresson, Texas. Lisa also directed a weekday preschool in Willow Park, Texas, before joining the Cityview Audiology family in September of 2017.
